How do I know how to price my items?
You know better than we do what you paid for an item and the condition it is in. It is best to start at one-third of the original purchase price and go up or down from there based on the condition. Some brands will maintain their resale value better that others.

What is a Priority Shopping Number and why do I need one? When As They Grow started, Priority Shopping Numbers were used as an incentive to consignors to get their items in early (we didn't receive by appointment at that time). The earlier you consigned the earlier you got to shop. Today, we offer consignors the opportunity to still stand in line to get those early shopping opportunities. All consignors shop on the same day, but we stagger the entrance times according to the Priority Shopping Numbers. This keeps the shoppers from being too crowded and helps us keep the lines from getting too long. Those who do not want to shop at the earliest time no longer need to stand in line and can get their number when they bring their items in.

Why do I need an appointment to bring consignments in? We set appointments for receiving consignments so consignors to not have to wait too long to drop off their items. We understand that you have better things to do with your time than wait for us to inspect other consignments. We try to be a thorough as possible while still working quickly.

When can I get my check? Consignor checks are issued as remaining items are picked up after the sale is over. For the Spring 2011 event we asked consignors to bring in self-addressed stamped envelopes because we had a scheduling conflict and could not have checks ready at pick-up. This is option will only be used when absolutely necessary.

How is my check calculated? Consignor checks are calculated by our computer system that sorts all sold items by consignor number. You receive a report that shows the sales. The total number of sales is then multiplied by 67% and then participation fee is deducted (check consignor agreement for current participation fee amount).
Example: Sales=$100 & Participation fee=$8
100 x .67 = 67 - 8 = $59 consignor check amount.

Do I have to pick-up my remaining items? No, As They Grow will donate your items for you. You can designate items to be donated by placing a "D" on the tag. Items are then donated to a Christian charity immediately after the sale. We do not collect tax receipts for donated items.
